A Mandatory Stand-up talk should be given by tomorrow, Friday 6/26/20.  The message is about renewing, refocusing and recommitting to each other and the public we serve that we put safety first.

The policy will require face coverings inside installations especially when social distancing is not possible.  County and City ordinances now require this, also.  Carriers who refuse to wear face coverings should prepare to explain any medical issues they have to their Supervisor that involve medical restrictions which prohibit the wearing of the mask.

A newspaper advice column from "Dear Annie" revolved around a Letter Carrier who shared her anxiety from risking her health and possibly contracting COVID-19 when she left the house to deliver mail.

Dear Annie replied:  "Your fear and anger are very understandable.  And yet you have been going out there and delivering our mail anyway.  That is called courage.  Courage is not the absence of fear, it is having fear and doing it anyway.  You are a hero and we thank you very much for you service to humanity."

You are all courageous, Stay Healthy.
